K-One Marketing was founded in 1997 and had incorporated K-One Industries Pte Ltd and Visio Care Pte Ltd in Singapore in Nov 2005 and 2007 respectively (100% Singaporean-owned). Our company started in specialising in packaging design, machineries and specialty materials. We have been through many challenges to achieve the following;
1997 - We developed for one of the largest condom manufacturers an Eco-pack packaging by replacing their conventional paper boxes and leaflets with automated roll-film using reverse printing of the instruction manual. The revolutionized design and engineering has saved substantial packaging and transportation cost which would spare millions of trees. This innovative packaging helps to save costs and environmentally-friendly.
2005 - Basing on similar concept and thinking out of the box, the idea of “compressing” the contact lens inside a pack was mooted i.e. to compact the packaging size of the conventional plastic blister packaging into a sugar-like sachet pack and be able to carry around like a credit card! The user feel was designed to minimize the usual “metallic” feel and the construction of the foil layers was developed to allow for a light and consistent peel experience. All of this was completed without sacrificing seal integrity. We worked very closely with the customer to ultimately develop and produced the thinnest contact lens packaging foil in the world.
2007 - Currently, we had managed to develop the revolutionized packaging material which is being featured in the USA Brand Packaging magazine Design Gallery in 2007. This brought cost-saving to our customer in term of packaging, warehousing and transportation cost.
2008 - Another successful system ‘Cleaning Machine – Ultrasonic system’. No other system is as effective as ultrasonic at cleaning inaccessible and hard to reach areas of items. The microscopic bubbles caused by the ultrasonic are easily able to penetrate contact lens surface and other hard to reach areas. It is this ability to clean even the most inaccessible areas which makes ultrasonic an ideal cleaning system for medical instruments.
2011 - The IP for this foil design was jointly filed by Mr. Kong Mun Chew and one of our business partners. In return for Visio Care innovative idea, we are assigned exclusive manufacturing rights.
2011 - Has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirement of “ISO 9001:2008” and “HSA TS-01 (Rev 2):GDPMDS”.
2012 - We continue to work closely with our business partner and provide full support in both the packaging system and materials areas. Using such a strategy, the company managed to develop and refine our own knowledge and experience over time. In addition, it allows the company to be equipped with up to date materials and technological support. This has ensured that we will continue to enjoy a position of competitive advantage, trust and credibility in this industry (this is especially important in the medical device sector). This will in turn enables us to establish a long-term relationship with major contact lens companies.
